## Dubai gateways
Dubai is not one port. It is a set of gateways with different customs regimes,
cut-off times and cost profiles — and picking the wrong one quietly adds days
and dirhams to a shipment.

## How we work
1. **Tell us the shipment.** Origin, destination, what it is, roughly how big and
when it needs to land. A photo of the cargo is often enough to start.
2. **Get a costed option.** A written quote within one working day, broken out by
freight, local charges, duty estimate and delivery — not one lump sum.
3. **Booking and documentation.** We book the space, prepare or check the bill of
lading or air waybill, file the Mirsal 2 declaration, and flag anything in
your document set that would cause a hold before it does.
4. **Clearance, delivery, close-out.** Clearance at the gateway, inspection
attended if required, delivery to the door, one reconciled invoice.

## FAQ
**Where is PSL Arabia located in Dubai?**
Al Naboodha Building — also signposted Al Shoala Building, Block E — 3rd Floor,
Suite 301, 10 17th Street, Port Saeed, Deira. A few minutes from Dubai Clock
Tower and Port Rashid, about 45 minutes from Jebel Ali Port. Open Monday to
Saturday, 09:00 to 18:00.
**How quickly can I get a freight quote?**
Within one working day, and usually the same working day for standard air and

Project cargo and heavy lift take longer because they normally need a route
survey before a rate can be committed.
**Which ports and airports do you work through?**
Sea: primarily Jebel Ali Port and Port Rashid, plus Khalifa Port and KIZAD in
Abu Dhabi, Hamriyah and Khor Fakkan in Sharjah, Fujairah and Ajman. Air: Dubai
International (DXB) and Al Maktoum International (DWC).
**What is Mirsal 2, and do I need it to import into Dubai?**
Mirsal 2 is Dubai Customs' electronic declaration system. Every import, export
and transit movement through Dubai must be declared in it, and a licensed
clearing agent files on your behalf against your trade licence and customs code.
We file Mirsal 2 declarations in-house for mainland and free-zone consignees.
**What is the difference between clearing to a free zone and to the mainland?**
Goods going to a free zone such as JAFZA or DAFZA are filed as a free-zone import
and are not assessed the 5% customs duty while they remain inside the zone. Goods
going to a mainland LLC are filed as an import for local consumption and duty
becomes payable at clearance. Choosing the wrong declaration type is the single
most common cause of clearance delays and amendment fees.
**What is the difference between FCL and LCL?**
FCL is a full container load — an entire 20ft, 40ft or 40ft high-cube container
for your cargo alone. LCL is less than container load — your cargo shares a
container and you pay per cubic metre or per tonne, whichever is greater. LCL
suits smaller consignments; FCL usually works out cheaper per unit once you are
filling roughly half a container or more.
**Do you handle dangerous goods and temperature-controlled cargo?**
Yes — IMDG-classified dangerous goods by sea and IATA DGR shipments by air,
subject to correct declaration, packing and approvals. Temperature-sensitive
cargo moves in reefer containers by sea, and in temperature-controlled ULDs or
validated thermal packaging by air. Send the MSDS and UN number with your
enquiry.
**Can you move oversized or heavy-lift project cargo?**
Yes. A typical scope covers a route survey, lifting and method statements, RTA
and municipality permits for oversized road movements, flat-rack or breakbulk
booking, lashing and securing to CTU code, and supervision at both load and
discharge. Oil and gas, renewables and construction are the most frequent
sectors.
**Do you provide warehousing in Dubai?**
Yes — short and long-term storage, cross-docking, pick and pack, order
fulfilment, inventory reporting and onward distribution across the UAE and GCC.
Storage can be bundled with clearance and last-mile delivery under a single
contract and a single invoice.
**Can I import or export a vehicle through you?**
Yes. Vehicles move either in containers or on roll-on roll-off services, and we
handle the export certificate, customs declaration, shipping and destination
formalities. Requirements vary by destination country — particularly on vehicle
age limits and left- or right-hand drive.
**How long does shipping from Dubai take?**
Air freight typically reaches major hubs in 1–5 days. Sea freight from Jebel Ali
runs roughly 3–7 days to Indian subcontinent ports, 12–20 days to North Europe
and the Mediterranean, and 18–30 days to North America, before destination
customs clearance. Road freight into Saudi Arabia is usually 2–4 days depending
on the border crossing. These are indicative — your quote carries the actual
schedule.
